John is an excellent rythmn guitar player, plays bass guitar, and is an outstanding lead singer. He does traditional country and loves to do a lot of contemporary country. He regularly performs with The Lee Ann Noel Band in central Florida. This versatile group does it all from traditional country to rock and roll to blues and their sweet harmonies are almost chilling.
Why this name?
It's the one my parent's gave me.
Do you play live?
Every Tuesday at Austin Horse Park in Weirsdale Florida and various venues around central Florida.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet opens many many doorways for artists to reach out to more people than ever before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would given I had input as to music styles recorded.
Band History:
I've been entertaining all my life. I grew up in a family of country entertainers (2 of my Uncle's had country bands forever) so I just don't know any different. After retiring early (actually downsized by a major corporation) I moved to Florida.
Your influences?
My Uncle Don Colf was a major influence in my muscial career. I still love and admire the stars of yesterday (Wille Nelson, Hank Williams, Ray Price, etc.) although I have been positively influenced by stars such as Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks.
Favorite spot?
Kind of a tie between two very different places: The St. Lawrence River in upstate New York and Las Vegas. The St. Lawrence is so calming but 'Vegas turns me on.
Equipment used:
I play a Martin JC-16RGTE 6 string flat top with Martin PREFLIX electronics and a Crate GT-212 amp. I use a Shure cordless mic and a Crate PCM-8 PA system. My bass is a Fender.
Anything else...?
John is available for bookings virtually anywhere. Have trailer/can travel.
