This is Loop Detail coming straight out of Chicago (not the same as Skokie.) Just doin our thing. We seek to embody the steaming soul of hip-hop with the three mentalities: the elevated track, ground level track, and the subway. They all converge somewhere.
and if you hate, well, then, you hate.
Why this name?
Check out the CTA.
Do you play live?
Yeah we play live. Rock the shows with live instruments.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's okay with us. It expands your horizon. Elevated says:The other day I was trying to get Gin and Juice which was the first tape I ever bought and I got a version by Phish and it really changed my life. I feel complete. You could say that I'm warm inside. Like having a nice sweater and a glass of orange juice while skating at Art Institute in the fall without a cope pulling a gun on you. By the way I hate the cops. FTC.
Subway says: Yeah, i think the file sharing is all good and moral and everything. If i hear some stuff i really like, i'll buy the CD just to support the artist, but otherwise if you're so goddamned worried bout the bill i hope your passion consumes you until there's nothin left but a pile of ashes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah man we would sell our soul to get paid like j-lo or p-didy. When they got that dash you know their paid. Whatever everyone’s just trying to "get a rep". But I would like to "bridge gaps in this lyrical grudge match" like J5.
