Jonah Isaac is a 13-year-old songwriter and guitarist out of the small river towns of Central Pennsylvania. His songs deal with topics as diverse as his life, but often comment on social or political issues. He takes influences from many unique places, including the effervescent beauty of Elliott Smith, the innovative, virtuoso artistry of John Fahey, and the lurid blues of Robert Johnson. In addition to his songs, he also records instrumental blues and bluegrass pieces in the style of master fingerstyle guitarists like Leo Kotke and Peter Lang.

He is also a member of several rock bands, including Dead Until Dusk (www.deaduntildusk.blogspot.com&# and is active at the Uptown Music Collective in Williamsport (www.uptownmusic.org) Thanks, and please check out the music!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I thought the deal would bring my music to more people and if I was given complete creative control, I would. I would much prefer to be on one of the bigger independents, though.
Your influences?
Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Chris Whitley, Robert Johnson, John Fahey, Leo Kotke, Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits
