A trio of rappers that bring an uncut yet introspective flavor to the rap game.
A true Blakademic is a student of the game and navigates his way to the top by surviving tough experiences and plotting+scheming the path to success ...
The Factory (aka Facts) - The youngest and newest rapper to the crew. Known for spittin' it brutally honest, slightly outlandish and serves up lyrical aces like his name was Sampras.
Sleepy (aka Bobby Drake) - Usually spits the most instrospective bars of the group so dont get caught sleepin or you might get knocked out wit a killer punchline.
Gates - Bringing that westcoast feel to Blakademics, Gates likes to think of himself as a "lyrical specialist". If the rhyme-scheme dont knock 'em out, the punchlines will leave 'em bruised up.
And we can't forget about that man who coined the name "Blakademics", B. Chips. Making guest appearances from time to time, B. Chips can found freestylin' anywhere/anytime and/or stackin' them chips.

All of us met in grad. school at the University of Michigan and then the "lost" member of the group B. Chips came up with an idea:
Black Grad Students + Makin' Music => Blakademics!!!

Individually, every story is a bit different:
Gates - Nice with the "computers 'putin" game, so he was dubbed the black Bill Gates in his younga' years. Now, "Young Gates" is just Gates and is ready to breakdown MCs like old laptops.
The Factory - The name says it all. Spittin rhymes is like clockwork for this man. Thus he is appropriately called The Factory. Need that hot 16 bars? Give him a beat, a drink, and 15 minutes... The Factory will churn out a fiery verse with the efficiency of a Chinese sweatshop!
Sleepy - They call him the Green Eyed Bandit, but he keeps his eyes low to see whats good in the streets. Hence, always lookin Sleepy... Plus he sleeps a lot.
