I am Chrissy, the one who is behind this project called, Chrissypop. This is one way of showing my other side. I do vocals for the local metalcore experimental band, Debridement (ex-Cheap Love Magazine). I just wanted to share what other songs I can sing. It was my long-time plan to make this account but unfortunately, I've been really busy with school. Now, that I have the vacant time, I have decided to make this SOUNDCLICK music profile. I am just using a karavision (a videoke machine my mom & dad bought) and my digital camera for recording the sound. Yayks! I am not really that good but I just wanted to share this to my friends and to everybody else who loves the music that I have uploaded here. This profile will soon have acoustic tracks. Acoustic guitars will be played by my friend. ^_^ Stay tuned. ^_^
Why this name?
I chose my name. I know it sound a little funny to call this account as ChrissyPop. Coz most of the songs here are pop songs so that's it.
Do you play live?
I used to play live before like singing in a wedding, parties and gigs. I've been involved in different kinds of bands/act so not all of them were the same. Sometimes I play metalcore/hardcore music and sometimes, pop/acoustic/punk rock. It really depends on what kind of music a band plays. I loved it. I loved those years of band experiences. I've learned a lot and enjoyed it. The most special moment was when I was able to play guitar and sing at the same time. It was really amazing even though I am not that good in playing guitar but I was able to play it well. It was really fun and people loved it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps a lot of musician especially those who can't really afford to record in a studio or those who are seeking somebody to manage their band or by simply sharing their talents in just one click. It is really convenient. If you have your own PC or if you have some recorded tracks you can just upload it and the whole world can listen to it.
