At this point it's basically a one-man band. I'm having a blast with my new recording software/hardware, adding musical layers to my heart's content!
Why this name?
It's me!
Do you play live?
Any time and any where I can. I really love playing live. Unfortunately it hasn't been as much as it should be lately, but I'm hoping that will change quickly! Anybody who has any gigs to throw my way, please contact me at: davidbergnermusic@gmail.com
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If not for the internet, and technology in general, only close friends and family would've ever heard any of my music, and it would only have been because I sat down and played for them, not because I handed them a CD or sent them an MP3 file. Techonological advances are creating absolutely incredibly opportunities for all kinds of artists everywhere. I am very grateful.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Can't say I know exactly what that would entail. If I could retain creative control, then I don't see why not.
Band History:
Grew up around music and in a musical family and it's just in my blood.
Your influences?
Far too many people to name. Pretty much everyone and everything. I've had people tell me I remind them of Elliott Smith and Bright Eyes. Some additional artists that I listen to a lot are: YES, Radiohead, Bjork, Saves the Day, Iron and Wine, anything involving Tim Kasher and so so many others...
Favorite spot?
Hometown: Boulder, CO
Equipment used:
Presonus Firepod interface, Logic Pro 7, AKG Perception 200 Condenser Mic, Macbook, Martin 000M Guitar, Fender Stratocaster, Classical Guitars, Melodica, Ibanez bass, Pro Co mic cables, Sonly MDR 7506 Headphones, M-Audio Trigger Finger and M-Audio Keystation 49e.
