Why this name?
It was chosen for me. The spelling of my name was just changed from Sheila to Sheela.
Do you play live?
The last gig I had was in Southwest China last March 2007. I prefer to perform back home in Manila where I can connect with the crowd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
File sharing, baby! It's made music available for anyone, everyone, any time. As an artist, this means, you can share your music more. But in terms of making money, maybe we'll leave that to gigs. =)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nope. I'm happy working on the sidelines with a small crowd where people really appeciate my songs.
