Fur Parlor is an acoustic based project thats warm on the outside yet frigid from within. Mumbling thoughts escaping through melody and moodswings, violence and grace, salty and sweet...pleasure and pain. Wrap up for a journey into the morgue of my mind.
Why this name?
I DO NOT support animal skinning or animal cruelty of ANY KIND...its just a metaphor of the acoustic warmth and the cold mannered lyrics.
Do you play live?
I would strap on the acoustic for some live shows if the time and place were right.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The passing along of FREE music made by anyone in the world!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it means I dont have to work in a warehouse forever...of course!
Band History:
Fur Parlor is a collection of the acoustic tunes Ive written over the years as well as current music Ive written for other musical projects I oversee. I love the cold, stripped feeling of a raw acoustic guitar layered with melodies. The first album "..from dead ends to mourning" 2007, was all performed by myself but on the most recent collection "Before we pass..." 2011, features the live drumming of Dan Hoffman.
