SoundClick artist: Anotha B - page with MP3 music downloads

I am a U.K. poet with hopes of one day releasing something concrete. Alot of my material is sketchy but it's only early days now. I'm tryna put an album together and hope to get radio play in the future, perhaps even on the music channels.

Why this name?

I seek inspiration from a variety of places, but to me the most useful resource was Anotha.com. My initial is B so it sorta jus went as I'm B from Anotha or "Anotha B".

Do you play live?

I haven't ever actually played live as of yet. My repertoire hasn't actually expanded to that level at present.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Mp3 and downloading is allowing the little artists make it big and be heard. I really believe that in a few years from now, bought cds will be near obsolete and that downloading will be the major source of attaining new music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If they were interested and could provide me with the support I need then I wouldn't even hesitate... that said however is exceptionally unlikely.

Your influences?

Idk really. I'm a poet first and foremost so some of my material is just spoken word, however if I find a good beat that suits the rhythm of my piece, I have been known to merge the two.

Favorite spot?

My favourite city is probably Paris. I ain't really travelled that far and wide but Paris really left a mark on me. I have recently been to Amsterdam aswell but it just didn't really feel welcoming or forgiving.

Equipment used:

Soon it will be a Samson C01U condenser microphone with a PS-01 pop shield; and Reaper for the audio editing suite.
