DjD has been involved in Hip Hop Music Since 2000. At age 15, he began writing rhymes and spitting freestyles for friends at partys and in school, eventually begun recording small parts to songs, and released a very small, independant CD in 2003, just passing out burnt copies to students in his high school. after over 6 months of his CD being played and recognized by almost every hip hop head in his school, DjD moved on to performances at places such as "Tabu Nightclub", "Middle East" and "Millys Tavern" just to name a few. now with the upcoming release of "Downshift" DjD's artistic view of his life over the last 7 years, and taking a step back and putting those moments on record, it is one of the most hyped records expected out throughtout new england, with fans, and artists alike praising DjD's music as "something special" and "another chapter in Boston Hip Hop music's dictionary" Downshift should be expected out this Summer, with special appearences by Shylok (The Survivors), LB, Apeshit, Visitor Squad, Bugout, Sha-Elemental, ES Blitz, The Stuntman, Soular Prominence, and many others!

Danvilles Josh DeCarlo will always stay with me, no matter where this game takes me, no matter how small a town i came from.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I wouldnt be known for one. Theres so many great tools out there to promote you and your music these days, that other artists in the past im sure would have loved to have. Myspace, Soundclick, SYM, PureVolume. ive got accounts on all 4, and i get hits from across the globe because of it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if i was given the opportuntie to showcase the artists i feel deserve it. I think NH, deserves one chance to blow the country out of the water, and if someone likes me, ill make sure they like the rest of us too.
Your influences?
all local artists on the grind. i dont listen to anything on the radio anymore because hip hop is dead.
Favorite spot?
Boston, MA without a doubt.
