NEWCASTLE HIP HOP!!:

A.P.E.X.(ARIS-POETIC-ENSILENCE-XCAL). THE WORD APEX AS IN THE DICIONARY IS DESCRIBED AS THE CLIMAX OR THE HIGHEST POINT. IN THE FIRST LIVE SHOW EVENT THAT WE WERE INVOLVED IN AS A 4 PART GROUP, PRIOR TO BEING INTRODUCED TO THE STAGE, WE HAD A REALITY CHECK ON THAT STATEMENT. A VERY DEEP, EDUCATED, AND SOULFUL MAN THAT GOES BY THE NAME OF EZRA, HELPED US ALL. HE HELPED US SEE SOMETHING IN OURSELVES INDIVIDUALLY, AND COLLECTIVELY, THAT I'D LIKE TO THINK GAVE US ALL A DIVINE CONFORMATION TO GO FORWARD AND BRING SPECIFICALLY AND SIMPLY, OURSELVES TO THE TABLE OF HIP HOP(CAN YOU DIG THAT?). WE ARE STILL YOUNG IN THE BRANCHING OUT PART OF THE GAME, SO I HOPE I'M NOT TOO FAR OFF IN THE REPRESENTATION OF MY COLLEAGUES THOUGHTS. TO VOICE/DISPLAY THE INNER SELF, THAT MIGHT NOT BE SHOWN OTHERWISE, IN AN ARTISTIC, HONEST MANNER. THAT IS WHAT THE MICROPHONE, THE BEAT, THE STAGE, THE EARS THAT LISTEN ALLOW US TO PARTICIPATE IN. WE STANDOUT FROM OTHERS BY KEEPING IT SIMPLE. FINACIAL SECURITY WOULD BE NICE FOR OUR FAMILIES AND OURSELVES, BUT WE'RE AT WHERE WE'RE AT. WE DON'T SELL THE GLAMOROUS LIFE, WE REFLECT OUR REALITIES, TRYING TO MAKE IT OUTSIDE OF SATURATED CORRUPTION. ULTIMATELY WHAT YOU'LL HEAR IN OUR MUSIC IS US STRIVING TO GET FROM WHERE WE ARE AT, TO THE HIGHEST POINTS OF OUR LIVES WE CAN REACH. CONSTANTLY LEARNING, HOPEFULLY TEACHING IN A HELPFUL WAY, HOPEFULLY SPARKING THE MINDS OF THE FUTURE. I CAN'T CALL IT, JUST LOOK FOR THE FRUITS (MAY GOD BLESS US VERY MUCH ON OUR JOURNEY!)

JUST LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why this name?
Each letter of the band name is the first letter of each artist. A= Aris, P= Poetic, E= Ensilence, X= Xcal
Do you play live?
We have had and will continue to have shows in the Western Pa. --East, OH. areas and wherever the journey may take us. I like rockin in the Burgh the most.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changed the music industry significantly by giving artist that have to grind hard to be heard, a platform to reach a lot of people that they may have not been able to reach other wise. I think it has effected the music sales side of things greatly in a negative way for businesses, but in a good way for the consumer's who got tired of buying junk albums, that have one or two good or ok songs for a crazy high retail.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, I would make that sacrifice for the right reasons. I would if the contract would put me into a situation to make a difference in my family's lives, make a difference in my community (New Castle, Pa.-- all of West, Pa.), without becoming a slave/puppet for the rest of my life on earth. I wouldn't want my folks to have to do the same if I could go through it and put them on in an independent situation.
