Squib are a truly experimental instrumental band fusing together different genres to create something unique, and hopefully some listener/audience reaction.

Squib is the bastard child of Gran Torino www.gran-torino.com www.soundclick.com/grantorino

Why this name?
It came about last summer when we were at a long party session and Andrei said it's like a Squib. We were so wasted that the word had us in stitches, thus the Squib was born.
Do you play live?
We are currently working on our album Secret Sauce which will be released sometime this year. That means that there will be live gigs along the way
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh certainly, but as the music's our own we would like to keep a certain amount of artistic freedom so an independant label would suit us better.
Your influences?
Mahavishnu Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Funkadelic, Parliament, Bootsy Collins, Rage Against the Machine, Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorious, Jamiroquai, Esborjn Svenson Trio, Wayne Krantz, James Brown, The Meters, James Taylor Quartet, Return to Forever, Billy Cobham
Favorite spot?
Anywhere where we have secret camping, jamming sessions in the summer
Equipment used:
A lot but I don't think we should advertise companies equipment as we have to pay for it
