Custom top banner code by Eileen !!! End Code To Apply Top Banner !!! When curiosity became a mere hobby, hobby became an underground hip hop following that even the majors can’t ignore. Austin Miles Applewhite, better known as Austin! White is among few hip hop artist who use their real name. At the young age of 20 Austin has proved himself to be quite the creative jack of all trades as a producer, writer, recording artist, and graphic designer, he uses his abilities to create a sound and style that is uniquely his.
Heavily influenced by the fast paced controlled chaos of modern Japanese living, Austin’s music is an innovative body of melodic riffs and futuristic percussion that rose to fame in the summer of 2008 after releasing several remixes that many would agree were often better than the originals. Those remixes led to the highly anticipated release of his first album The Constellation which featured various artist performing over his own original compositions, and then again in the fall of 2008 when he released The Pink Tamago featuring Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" remix that received over 300,000 plays in the first week.

While still riding on the success of his two previous albums Austin began writing to his next album Free Form Music which was his first album featuring his rapping over his own instrumentals. He released "Work It", a Daft Punk sampled trip hop inspired anthem that received a lot of praise from his fans, but they still weren't convinced if rapping was cut out for young producer. A month later when he released "Recline to Mayer", a John Mayer looped riff about the struggles of newer relationships it was made clear that the young artist was here to stay. Those songs were later released on the cd Free Form Music which was digitally released in March 2009, the album remained on the Datpiff top 8 for almost a week and songs from the album are still doing well today.

Austin is currently in his home studio producing full albums for both "MNSTRS" and Cali hip hop artist "TheWerd" along with various artist and groups. He's also working on his next album "Technicolor" (release date hasn't been decided) backed by 2008 Kanye West "Sky High" Mixtape presenter DJ BENZI.
Why this name?
Parents. lol
Do you play live?
Yup. I headlined my first show. yay!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's amazing now! It's nuts how a complete nobody can make a song in his own house and it can potentially be heard by millions in an instance. There is tons of potential. It's all in how you use it. I for one am going to try and ride this one all the way to success.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure would, and without reading the contract....
