I donīt really know what to call my kind of music. itīs usually within metal, and itīs usually riffy with grooves and stuff. iīve always been obsessed with getting lots of athmosphere and stuff in my songs to make it full of moods and emotions etc.
Why this name?
MF = Morten Fjeld, my name
Kitten = well... small cat... cause i like those...
Do you play live?
I donīt play live nowadays, simply because iīm not in a band. there has been a bunch of insane moments when playing live though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
the internet is a fantastic way of getting your music around! i love it, and i think more artists should follow Trent Reznorīs philosophy around marketing :)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As much as i would love to make my living with music, thatīs not really likely :P

iīll see how far i can take it once i put together my first album though.
Band History:
iīve played in a few bands over the years, but thereīs not much to talk about to be honest. i recently quit the band i was in, and iīm focusing on my own thing. iīm going to put together an album.
Your influences?
tons of musical influences, electronica/ambient and metal etc etc.

iīm a huge fan of Meshuggah, and i love the genres that have sort of spawned as a result of their music. bands like Periphery/Bulb, Tesseract, all the way to SikTh, Textures, all of that.

as far as electronica goes, iīve always loved Aphex Twin type stuff, and lately iīve enjoyed NIN alot.
Favorite spot?
no idea. i love London, except itīs so DAMN DIRTY! :P

i live in Lillehammer at the moment, itīs a really nice city!
Equipment used:
Line 6 Pod X3 Live, Agile, Ibanez, Vintage and Schehcter guitars. also Mike Sherman made a neck for one of my guitars.

i have a Samson stereo power amp to power my Pod, and i run it int a Rivera 2X12 cab with V30s in stereo. i then simultaneously run the signal into a Hartke 2X10 bass amp :D

iīve barely ever played my live rig though, as i donīt really play live with it as i had originally planed... because i donīt have a band to use it with (with my other band i use a tube amp...)
