I am Skáld. Skáld am me.

I'm a musician, in case you couldn't tell.

My music is my life. My life is generally disagreeable, rough and tumultuous. My music can be considered disagreeable. A is to B as B is to C.

I like all sounds. I like pretty sounds, and ugly sounds, and I think usually the two can combine to make something interesting, to say the least.

My aim is to make interesting music. Music that invokes emotion. Hopefully it will for you.

Why this name?

Skáld is my name.

I have once or twice.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It helps me get music out there. It helps people listen to music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Probably not, but there are always exceptions.

Band History:

Roughly five years ago I decided to start making music, and joined the band "The Obsessions," a synth-rock group based in San Francisco, CA. A year after that band, I left to pursue my solo efforts. Since then, I have released a myriad of CD-less songs. I plan on releasing my first CD over the internet soon.

Your influences?

I take my influences from all kinds of bands. Mostly IDM artists. I also take my influences from things that aren't necessarily music. Paintings have a lot of bearing on my music.
