The above instrumental themes and cues are downloadable free. I have taken care to make them the highest quality so if they do not play well on your computer, then please download them and listen on an MP3 player. They are designed to be used with film/video and each one is in a different style.
Why this name?
Undercurrents comes from the idea of background music underpinning the images.
Do you play live?
No only recording as Undercurrents, although I have played in live "covers" bands.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It opens it up tremendously - in much the same way as the pirate radio stations did in the sixties but on a much bigger scale. It's great to see so much talent out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not at the moment as there are too many things I want to do so don't want to be tied down to one label.
Band History:
See introduction above.
Your influences?
I like all kinds of music but the music I write for Undercurrents generally has a pop/jazz flavour. I like people who experiment with sounds so my composing has been influenced by people like the John Barry Seven, Beatles, Kevin Ayers etc
Favorite spot?
The countryside
Equipment used:
Electric and acoustic guitars with computer synthesisers such as Vienna Symphony, Native Instruments, Atmosphere and VST. All recorded in Logic on a Mac.
Anything else...?
Hope you enjoy the music!!
