Matthew's Grin is a hard rock band from Edmonton, AB, Canada. Initially formed several years ago, it has grown and changed into the focused, hard-hitting recording act it is now. We recently completed our new, self-titled album with the help of producer/engineer Nick Blagona (The Police, Deep Purple, Fifth Season), and are now touring to support it.
Why this name?
Long story short, we couldn't just use the name Grin, so we had to put something in front or behind it.
Do you play live?
We play mostly in western Canada, but have been making our way further east as time goes on. We also are planning to tour the US as soon as we can.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a change for the better in many ways. Now anyone can post anything, anytime, and if the listener knows where to look they can find almost anything, anytime. It's give lots of bands lots of chances to be heard, and lots of people the opportunity to discover new music that could be on the other side of the planet.

Your influences?
Ours infulences range from Split Enz to Incubus, Zepplin to Tool. We all agree that Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Incubus and Big Wreck rock.
