Why this name?
REDHANDED reps our grind. We get our hands dirty 10 to 15 tracks a day. "Blood Sweat and Tears" It's that seal of quality
Do you play live?
Dirty Red was on the Mo' Thugs and Bone Thug-n-Harmony tour for the majority of 2003 as an artist. Our credits include production for Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Lil Flip, 8 Ball & MJG, Gerald Levert, Trip Swizz, Romey Rome, Ken Dawg, Emmortal Thugs, Mo' Thugs, Slave, the Senate, Bushwick Bill and the Diplomats. Also with engineering credits on 2pac, and the Insane Clown Posse albums.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has also allowed for worldwide promotion of independent projects.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would welcome a production deal with a major label, we let our music speak for itself. We're surrounded by extremely talented artist Ken Dawg, Dirty Red, and Drew Fire all with material ready for release.
Band History:
Dirty Red and the Great Dane have been looking at each other since the age of five. Life long friends they began making music together at the age of twelve. "We began with two turtable and a tape deck" recalls the Great Dane. "Yeah, we snatched up every record we could find. I'd go with my mom's to visit my aunt, and would be listening through my aunt's whole record collection for samples" said Dirty Red. "Everybody in our families got hit like that". "This whole thing has just progressed over the years. We just stuck with what we love to do".
Your influences?
We listen to just about every form of music. The diversity of our musical influences gives us a greater understanding of how different music should be put together and we feel it only adds to our production.
