Why this name?
You know, I just liked it thought it sounded cool. My better half has an avid interest in astronomy and it has become infectious.
Do you play live?
I do not play live as much as I would like. I spend most of my time producing. I live the live music thing vicariously through my son, who is an outstanding guitarist and bassist.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Obviously, distribution has changed forever. More music genres are accessible and finding an audience for your music is much easier, regardless of the style.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, as a producer.
Band History:
Not much band history. Former music educator. Played in a couple of groups in the early 80s, kids came along and the bands went away. Always have dabbled with MIDI, creating soundtracks for local theater productions and did some work for local performers.
Your influences?
Fusion, Old Skool funk, electronica, alternative music from the 80's forward, Impressionism
Favorite spot?
Anywhere near mountains or water. Love the east coast of the US, particularly the carolinas.
