Do you play live?
Only one of my songs (other than a couple piano solos a few years ago) has ever been performed live. It was a percussion ensemble, and it was performed by the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra's percussion ensemble on the last concert of their inaugural season.
Band History:
Well, we formed on October 27, 1988, and although my right hand has been a real nuisance to my elbow, we just haven't been able to split up after so long of being together.
Your influences?
Just to make this a little clearer: apart from pieces written in multiple parts (Roman Numerated or pieces with "part" in the title...) nearly every upload is in chronological order from when it was written.
Most recently, my influences have come from minimalist composers such as John Adams and Phillip Glass. This is probably best shown in, "Mirrors," but you can begin to hear their influences towards the end of, "Views From an Ethereal II."
In the past, I have also been influenced greatly by Mussorgsky ("Memories"), Howard Shore, Harry Gregson-Williams, and impressionist composers such as Debussy ("Views From an Ethereal I", and pieces composed around the same time).
Most of my percussion ensembles have been influenced by the same artists I was listening to at the time, as well as various percussion composers.
