LeeAndrew Bray – Artist/Songwriter Biography

Stephen “LeeAndrew” Bray was born January 27th, 1984 in Dalton, GA.
He is a Georgia native, Christian, husband, daddy, U.S. Army Soldier, musician and performing songwriter. He was chosen as the Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association's 2005 "Songwriter of the Year', winner of the “CD of the Year”, “Male Entertainer of the Year”, the 2006 "Horizon Award Winner" and the North American Country Music Association International's 2006 & 2007 “Male Entertainer of the Year”. LeeAndrew Bray has shared the stage with the USO Band of the Year “Catchpenny”, Buddy Jewell, Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gretchen Wilson, Mallary Hope and Brantley Gilbert. He was called to deploy to Iraq in early 2009 so he did not get to finish recording his debut album “This Road I’m On”.

LeeAndrew is currently recording the debut album that he says “is the best that I am possibly capable of recording and my goal is to write and create songs that people can relate to and feel, just as if they were in my shoes”.

LeeAndrew Bray was offered a recording artist contract with Tate Records in 2010 and a publishing deal with No Middle Ground Publishing Company in 2012. He is in the process of having a select number of his songs recorded by major and independent artists which will eventually be slotted for airplay on mainstream radio. LeeAndrew was recently paired up with several number one hit songwriters in Nashville and he looks forward to finishing his debut project so everyone can tune in to his “song of life.”

“I am writing professionally and will eventually make a full time career out of songwriting/performing but wherever this road leads is where I'll end up. I write, perform, produce and record all of my own music. I look forward to meeting new people and networking to further my career in the music business as a songwriter/performer and to help others achieve new heights. Thanks for the opportunity that you all have given to me and for lending me your eyes and ears!!!!” God bless!!!

Why this name?
The name "Lee" came from my mother's dad and the name "Andrew" came from my father's dad. Therefore I got the best of both worlds...lol
Do you play live?
I love to play live as much as being in the studio. I'm a performing songwriter currently after a better publishing deal.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is an incredible way for unsigned artists to network and promote themselves when no one else will listen.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure. In fact, I believe that's what all working musicians are trying to achieve.
Band History:
I've played acoustic/electric guitar in several bands until I went solo writing and performing Country, Southern Rock, Bluegrass and Christian music.
Your influences?
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior!!!
Brent Smith of Shinedown, Seether, Chris Daughtry, Chris Cagle, Garth Brooks, Jeremy Camp, John Rich, Jason Aldean, Kirk Franklin, Anthony Evans, Jeffrey Steele, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Favorite spot?
Wrapped up at home with my family after a long hard day!!!
Equipment used:
Fender, Gibson, Taylor, and Crafter Acoustic/Electric guitars and amps, Elixer and Ernie Ball Strings, Sure & Neumann Mics, etc.
Anything else...?
Remember to always keep God first and foremost in your life and may you always be blessed. Help somebody if you can!!!
