Why this name?
A very interesting question...Nick Bischoff is my stage name, but ironically, it just happens to be the SAME name my parents gave me! Weird, no? I was named after the patron saint of cool kids everywhere, St. Nicholas. But you can call me Nick.
Do you play live?
I LOVE playing live. I can be found roaming the clubs and cafes of Southern California looking for a place to set up my amp. And I've had lots of special moments, but before I tell you take the kiddies out of the room.
If you make it big..?
IF?...Okokok, I'll play along. I'll buy the world a beer. And peanuts - no, cashews. I looove cashews - but not honey roasted. I hate honeyroasted nuts. But I love honey. I'm a complicated guy.
Your influences?
I'm influenced by DIY and indie musicians everywhere - but if you want 'famous' folks: The Beatles, Willie Nelson, Velvet Underground, Cole Porter, Tom Petty, Stereolab, Pink Floyd, John Prine...sigh...the list goes on forever...
