A BRIEF HISTORY

Coming from the city of Hull in the United Kingdom, Part 12 was formed in 1998 by David Hoggard as a vehicle for releasing his music. However, David was producing music for some time before that.

The first album by Part 12, called "behind enemy lines" was released in 2000, with the follow-up album "more songs from behind enemy lines", being released in 2001.

Part 12's early sound is best described as a fusion of different elements and styles, these include electro, drum 'n' bass, techno, jazz, house, ambient etc.

In 2004, there was a radical change in Part 12's sound with the release of the EP entitled "heterodox". This EP was much darker and more experimental then the previous work.
