BREAKING NEWS!! May 18, 2012.
Nad Sylvan joins Steve Hackett.
Ok, you might as well hear it from me first.
So the Unifaun album, that caught the attention of mr Stolt
some 3 years ago, lead up to the birth of Agents of Mercy.
As they say, "one thing leads to another" - very true!
... After three albums (plus a live album) with AOM this happens;
About a month ago, I got a call from Steve Hackett (Genesis).
He said he is in the process of making a sequal to his Genesis revisited album "Watcher of the Skies" (1996).
He wondered if I would be interested in recording
three songs for Genesis revisited II, namely - "Eleventh Earl of Mar", "The Musical Box" and "The Chamber of 32 Doors".
(It will be a double album, and apart from myself on vocals
there will be people like Steven Wilson, Nik Kershaw and John Wetton among others.)
I would be a fool to say no, right? So off I went to London two days ago.
Spent almost the whole of wednesday in the studio with Steve, his lovely wife Jo and his right hand Roger King -
just trying out things and also getting to know each other a bit. The chemestry was there from the word go!
The album is supposedly due out somewhere around October 2012.
A little teaser is, that I will join Steve and his band on stage June the 24 (this year) on the Isle of Wight festival to sing "Watcher of the Skies".
No batwings and cape ala Gabriel, but I will make do with what I have -
my voice.

Hope this piece of news is as exciting for some of you that it is to me!

If you are a fan of the 1970s line up of Genesis,
this might be right up your alley!
We have written, recorded and produced our own songs in the vein of classic Genesis style,
which was released on Progress Records (June 27 2008) in Europe,
and Prog Rock Records in the US (Sept 23, 2008).

Why this name?
It is from the song "Dancing With The Moonlit Knight" by Genesis (Selling England by the Pound album 1973).
Do you play live?
We never have as a unit, but Nad has just done RoSfest, Gettysburg. PA. (2012) with Agents Of Mercy.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It still is.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not too sure about that one anymore.
Band History:
Unifaun met in 2003 on the Genesis website forums. Bon had posted a thread about a Genesis tribute song he had written and recorded. Nad got intrigued and contacted Bon.
Your influences?
Many, but in this case - strictly Genesis.
Favorite spot?
The World. It is our only home.
But to be more specific, we both really love Sweden.
especially the west coast. But we think Norway
is way more beautiful, more wild and lush.
But then again...
Bon loves France and Nad loves Ireland!
