Franklin Taggart writes songs, then he sings them. One time he got paid a lot of money to sing, then he spent it. Now he teaches guitar lessons and discovers new recording software daily.
Why this name?
My parents picked it for me.
Do you play live?
On occassion as tendonitis allows. Mostly house concerts and private parties. I like it! They're all pretty special until load out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In every way. There has never been a more level playing field. The new record companies are going to have to give people a way to sort through all the crap.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubtful at 44 unless they would distribute worldwide and pay me the same amount the CD Baby does.
Band History:
Born and raised in Wyoming. The remainder a series of happy accidents and a few broken hearts. Here I am.
Your influences?
Many and diverse. Bruce Cockburn, John Prine, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Anything on the radio between 1969 and 1989.
Favorite spot?
There's a rock by a creek down the hill from our house.
Equipment used:
Taylor 410MCE 25th Anniversary Shure SM58
Anything else...?
