This is the SoundClick promo feature offered through the AUD FAMily promo program.
Why this name?
F.A.M. is an acronym for Featured Artist Monthly, in addition to reflecting the importance and value of relationships and name recognition using the FAMily name.
Do you play live?
Many of the indie artists do. One can often locate dates on events and shows on the artists MySpace page and/or personal website.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Technology advancing towards online digital formats for improved performance, use, and versatility; and, "Performance Artists," as opposed to an "Indie Artist," will be further defined as being similar to film celebrities, as indie artists continue to dilute the industry with power of sound equal to, or better than "Performance Artist" quality. I believe this may lead to furthering the difficulty in becoming "Performance Artists," and decrease in income to both labels and artists. However, software and equipment is going to skyrocket. :)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Some indie artists would be interested... others would not. You would need to contact the artist directly. (A useful method would be to contact them through their SoundClick profile page).

It is now May 1, 2007. Two new stations are being created: one to represent all submissions of tracks uploaded on SoundClick, through the AUD Family Promo Program; and, the other represents all submissions thru the current promo program.
All tracks must receive artist approval (posted on this account's message board here at SoundClick to include the Digital License -- which can be established here at SoundClick) prior to uploading any artist's material.
To request removal of your track, simply request it on the message board, along with a PM notification to Sharma or Robot Archie in the Community Board (link in the top menu).
