Welcome Blues and Hillbilly fans to Tali and Johnnys band page.We have been playin' together for years under various names and with various members.This is the line up Tali on slapbass and beer and Johnny Hoodoo on singin' and guitar playin.We play all the stuff from the good old times in our own mixup of blues/hillbilly and rockabilly.Its all recorded in Tali's shed on an old Pc loaded with the Slackware Linux OS and using the Audacity audio editor and effects.
Why this name?
We chose the name cos we couldnt think of anything else..We just used our names.
Do you play live?
Sometimes we do.I remember the time we played a wedding and Tali had his leg in plaster..and we all got so drunk.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I like mp3,it makes it easy to back up all your favorite and costly cds onto cheap blank discs.I do prefer the open source .ogg format over mp3.It just sounds better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh Yeah!
Band History:
Been playin since the 80's and been called various things (band names that is).We've been the alabama trio,the backwater jacks and the screamin'demon's to name a few.We have stripped the band down just to Tali and me.
Your influences?
Rockabilly,Country Blues,Hillbilly....guys like Charlie Feathers,Son House.
Favorite spot?
Scotlands good..but its too cold and rainy most of the year.
Equipment used:
Double Bass,Gretsch Country Gent,Some amp and a mic.
