Why this name?
Well, when someone is born, their parents tend to select a label with which to distinguish them from other people. My parents chose to name me after a mythological, genocidal maniac (Joshua).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Digital technology creates huge opportunities for the expansion of culture. Digital reproduction does not require the further investment in constant capital after the initial recording process. After the initial production process, digital data can be reproduced ad infinitum without the producer having to spend another dime on production. The potential for an expansion of culture to those that hitherto had no access to it is endless.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Never!
