Hello. My name is Tyler Hampton. I'm 16 years old and have been writing music intended for videogames for a little over a year now.
Why this name?
First thing I came up with.
Do you play live?
Haven't in over a year.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Sites like this give wannabe musicians free exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Lol, a major label wanting to produce videogame music. Well, if such an occurence did happen, yes I would.
Band History:
I was born, 13 years later I began playing guitar and developed a strong interest in music. Around my 15th birthday I developed an interest in videogame music. I discovered that I had some talent for writing it and began to immerse myself in it more and more. Now I write a new videogame song just about everyday.
Your influences?
Nobuo Uematsu, Junya Nakano, Masashi Hamauzu, Hitoshi Sakimoto
Equipment used:
I have a Jackson DK-2, a Crate RFX 120 amp, a CFH wah pedal, a couple different distortion pedals, and a Digitech Whammy Pedal
However, for composing videogame songs I mainly use a program called Guitar Pro 5.
