This page is designated for The Experimental EP that was released in 2005. My first solo project, it incorporates the many styles of music that influence me ranging from hip hop, rock, alternative, jazz... hence the 'Experimental' title. The outcome is a half hour of easy listening, equipped with storytelling songs, along with some borderline-controversial topics and lyrics. After all, that's why we call music experimental in the first place. Great production and sound quality provided by Basement Audio in Binghamton, NY. I haven't decided whether to sell the album online or provide free download, but for now check out all the tracks in hi-fi and I'll update later. thanks for listening.

Why this name?
I think the original name 'Lordy' was a nickname given to me during modified baseball about 8 or 9 years ago. since then most people called me that, so once i got into music 6 years ago i wasn't motivated enough for change.
Do you play live?
i'll spit in front of just about anyone if they ask. i've done local shows with my main hip hop group SPAZ, none officially with the experimental band yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Drastically changes the true artists' dreams of getting heard by the masses. for most real musicians it's more important that they have a place to play or let people hear them then it is to make money commercially. it allows for us to produce a fan-base so independent touring is possible which may in turn result in a major deal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes definitely. i would, however, probably also want to make sure i had some fan backing prior so my intentions are well known.
Band History:
To expand on the top introduction, I guess it started in the spring of '05 when I had a sudden urge to break out of the 'rap barrier' and bring real instruments into the equation. It was easy picking the band because I have very talented friends. Sean Kanazawich is the tightest drummer out and killed it on the album. Max Lupo is a musical prodigy, bass being his main instrument, so that was a no-brainer. Then I left rhythm guitar and all other instruments along with sampling, recording and producing up to the genius that is Dave Rice.
Favorite spot?
I love the booth. Other than that, I enjoy places with views of city skylines, being lakeside on a dock at night, any place with a great view of nature. Of course, above all, I got The Bing in me.
Equipment used:
For this particular album, prior to my vocal chords, I used a pen and pad. Also Microsoft Word was very helpful. The band used their respective instruments and we channeled it all into the thousand dollar mic that sits in The Basement. For detailed specs check out Basement Audio.
