My music is always starting in the Record-Shop. I`m beat-diggin, searching for a cool record or a obscure record. Music what inspires me. So that is the first step for a Song and after this step I´m at home alone with my records and with my turntable and I´m loading Songs in the Sampler, I´m scratching and I play the Synth. So maybe you think I´m an Old-School Hip Hop producer and yes the style how we work is the same but I try to sound more like Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Coldcut and DJ Shadow and for me it´s really important to have my own style!!!! So maybe b you hear the stuff for yourself to build your own opinion
Why this name?
My first name was DJ Kryptide but I´m not really a DJ so now it´s Kryptide. The word "Kryptide" comes from the Latin. It is the hypernym of all these unexplored animals like the the Loch Ness Monster or Big Food
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It`s easyer to get more popular
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why not? Highly unlikely^^ But why not?

Your influences?
I have so much influences. Superficially there is Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Coldcut and DJ Shadow but the influences makes our music lively. So there is Jazz and Blues and Rock and definitely old-school Hip-Hop but really strange things too, like crazy movie scores, samba, classik or even jewish folk-music and the limits are always fusing. So there is a big sound-collage
Favorite spot?
Definitely London
