I listen to sounds and stories and turn them into songs. I make songs in different ways but mainly with electricity. I played fiddle when I was five, clarinet when I was twelve, and when I was 14 I started playing electric guitar and a month later I started turnin' knobs and ain't stopped since.
Why this name?
Sometimes starving children with no hope will resort to eating dirt - not to sustain themselves but as the only way they know how of killing themselves.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the way music is concieved and distributed obviously, the way bands think about promotion and distribution - it's impossible to catalogue the ways it has harmed and exploded music. When I say harmed though, not because it's 'stealing'.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
