I first started calling myself a "DJ"/"Producer" Back in the 7th grade. Since my brother "Mista Pip" (One of the Founders of "Banana Beats") produced beats for the local bay area rappers, I became highly influenced by him and his creations. So I decided to follow in his steps and become the second generation into this whole music buisness.
Why this name?
It's funny... My middle name is Remick and it became my profession name. At first back in Jr. High school I Hated the name "Remick". Then one of my friends called me "Dj ReMiCk" because I was messin around with my brothers MPC, and that's where it all started.
Do you play live?
No, not really. I mostly just make everything in private or with friends. Then I sell my creations or hand em out like skittles.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's crazy... You can share music with anyone around the world. If the right people hear your music. And it's good enough for them. You can possibly become famous.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of Course.
