Why this name?
Mad Leon is my real name and is a household name in various Ukrainian coffee shops.
Do you play live?
I reside in Vancouver, B.C., in the minimum security mental facility known as Riverside. Westside!!!!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has revolutionized the industry by crippling the large conglomerate labels that mass produce crap at a level that was unraveling our very existence. MP3's have saved lives. Believe.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. I am a freedom fighter not a donkey fister.
Band History:
Mad Leon has been mixing live since the age of 14. Once of legal age, Mad Leon toured with various happy hardcore DJ's throughout Europe and built a fan base for his trademark remix of classic Wham! tracks that was titled "Semen Stains in Sweden" and was much acclaimed throughout various Scandinavian universities. After a lengthy tour, Mad Leon returned back to Canada and formed his own indie label MixTapes For The Homeless and began turning on vagrants to the slick world of hip hop. Revered by some, hunted by many, Mad Leon is a pioneer in this tragic kingdom.
