Why this name?
IddyBiddyMan-Let's see, this has been my nickname online forever and a day. It is a shoot off from my studio name, "iddybiddy recording" The name basically comes from the idea that folks can always do something to move their dreams and ambitions forward in life. You may not have all the tools and talents that the big boys have at their disposal, but if you take the little you have and work with it, bigger things will come and dreams will become reality:) -iddy
Do you play live?
My first band was an 70's band named Telsa Eve. We covered Roxy Music, David Bowie,Rolling Stones etc. From my college days on I have performed with various Christian groups and worship teams - most were basically un named bands that were part of one ministry or another. My most recent endeavor was with the Utter Ants a funky R&B based praise band in Athens Ga. Laterly I have been concentrating on developing a studio and writing music for myself and other lyricists from JPF. (hi guys)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives both the listener and performer a place to interact and enjoy the art of musical expression. I believe that one day independant radio stations will catch the grove, and then listeners will begin to have access to a broader more creative community of musicians and writers
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Write a Check! :)
Band History:
Early on it was Ottis Redding, the supremes, Temptations (I had 2 older sisters) Then later it was Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Elton John (Keyboard player here) Since I spent many years in a Jazz ensemble I must confess that Count Basie (sp?) Glenn Miller, and other big bands had a considerable influence on my arranging style.
