Ray and Mike formed Blues Crossing in early 2004. We write, record and produce all of our original music on a BOSS BR1600 digital recorder in Rays basement... so if you hear a dog bark or a cat meow now and then just consider it a happy accident! No animals were harmed in the process!

Mike & Ray
Why this name?
After hours and hours of silent deliberation, Ray's wife Debbie came up with it. Thanks Deb! We figure our style of blues is sort of a cross-over between alot of genres including folk, rock, americana, old school, new school, and some 'homegrown' vibe thrown in for good measure.
Do you play live?
Yeah we do. Mainly around our area, which is Huntington, West Virginia and the Kentucky/Ohio tri-state area. We play at alot of the West Virginia Blues Society fundraisers, benefits and competitions held throughout the state every year.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We have met and become friends with some of the greatest blues musicians all over the world. having mp3's to send them has been a great way to get our music heard and enjoyed. Thank you Bill Gates... now send me my check!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah! As long as we don't have to sell our soul!
Your influences?
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, CSN&Y, Buddy Guy, Son House, Robert Johnson, Van Morrison, and a bunch of great blues musicians we've found on the internet... and there are 1000's of them all over the world!
Favorite spot?
That would be 'G' and Hawaii
Equipment used:
Taylor, Seagul, Samick, Washburn guitars. BOSS digital machine, CAD 2400 condenser mic, Shure mics, Regal dobro. Folkcraft dulcimer, and alot of hard work and elbow grease!
Anything else...?
Thank you Soundclick!
