Sam I am aka Sammyjay has been playing the piano for 12-13 years. He currently cannot read sheet music, but he plans to change this. He has been in and out of a couple different bands, in which he played the keyboards. he wrote his first piano peice at the age of 13. Although He likes to dapple into other genres such as Amient and electronica, his main genre of choice is hiphop/rap. In early 2003 Sam Began making hiphop beats just to see if he could, then it became what he did with his free time. after about six months of producing beats on his own he decided to show some people. Alot of people liked his beats and most of them wanted to rap over them, but some of them ended up being flakes or got locked up or just had better things to do. After a run in with the law Sam I am Decided to move back to northern cali and take a new direction in his music production. He then produced two CD's in August of 2007. One of the albums was a "chill-easylistening" type of album (one that you could fall asleep to). The other was a hard hitting orchestral fast paced album. He sold 43 copies total, which may not be alot, but he was proud just to do that. Currenly Sam I am is getting back into producing hiphop beats and is currently working on devoloping his very own record label.
