Welcome to the world of jasper and that means some rock & soul with a pop appeal.

Why this name?
It's actually a nickname from my grandfather and many summers spent in Newport News, VA. He had a friend by the name of Jasper that took a liking to me and me to him. I even started acting like him and using his sayings...all at the tender age of 6. The name kinda stuck...I miss the both of them dearly.
Do you play live?
Of course...my band has played all around the tri-state area, the midwest, San Francisco and LA.I love it, I love it, I love it. Being on stage feels like catching the holy ghost.Indescribable. You just let loose and forget about everything and anything that may have happened before you stepped into the light. Every time I perform it's a special moment because each time is different. One time does stand out though, we were performing at the legendary Wetlands Club in NYC, which is now closed, and it was one of the coldest nites of the winter. The Mayor Guliani was advising people to stay home and there we were on stage in front of about 10 folks with gloves and scarves on....but, the show must go on right?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It opened it up to the layperson. The industry prior to internet and mp3 was a very close knit club with many barriers to entry, but with these and the whole digital revolution in music production/technology, artists that may have never been heard outside of their local bar can now reach people around the world....it's phenomenal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
One can never say, it all depends on the situation...experience has taught me to never say never
Your influences?
Aretha to Janis to Fleetwood Mac to Stevie...I am influenced by the character of the guitar and the infusion of a soulful melody you can't beat it...
Favorite spot?
Right now, ground zero in lower manhattan, nyc...i live about 30 minutes out of NYC and am in the city alot, so looking at that altered skyline that I grew up with and driving past that hole in lower manhattan always reminds me of what's really important.
