Throughout the streets of South Bend, Indiana a blossoming hip-hop scene has begun to emerge. One of the driving forces is an innovative hip-hop group that goes by the name of FIRST FAM. Said to be one of the most promising groups to date, FIRST FAM provides an exceptionally talented group of young hip hop artists with the drive and dedication to match. Incorporating both intense lyrical content and original musical stylings, FIRST FAM culminates the makings for a fresh sound that will hypnotize all.While the group has been around for a few years, FIRST FAM has been diligently preparing for the release of their debut album “Dead Serious” to be released later this year. In the mean time the artists have kept busy by headlining shows, mastering their craft through the art of mix tapes and also by showing supreme superiority in the producing field. With the ultimate goal of having a successful recording label, the members of FIRST FAM keep in mind that their talents and abilities are gifts and work hard to maintain their value daily.Who would have ever imagined that a group of boys with the sheer intentions of having fun would turn into such a monumental movement? That’s exactly what the FIRST FAM did. Originator Travis Hines put together a group of friends to hang out on the weekends in order to figure out fun, safe ways to positively elevate the community. As the desire to spread the message grew, the young men realized that they may need to change their approach, so they turned to music. Hines and long time friend, singer/rapper Steve “Sal Capone” Love came together. Hines introduced a rapper by the name James “Ice 00” Van Mincy who brought his experience and mellow voice to the equation. Love incorporated Isaac “Zickalous” Flores to top their sound off and help round their sound. As with most families there are also extended members, adding lyrical flows from Leroy “Elroy” Love, Cody “Da 6th Man” Hubbard, and most recently singer J. Martin and many others help to make this group truly a family.
