Why this name?
tomas came up with it. he's a whiney bi*** and would have complained had we not taken it. so we did.
Do you play live?
yes we do. if a few un-named alcoholic members are sober and concious enough by the time our set comes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes. selling out is what we live for.
Band History:
There is a pretty big story behind how we came to be.. this is the short one.

Tomas and Alex were jamming with a bunch of different people, under the name Means of Production. Their drummer Andrew Boyd left to play in Empire Down and they were left beatless. Me (Adam) and Tomas ran into eachother one sunny afternoon and soon after I was in the band. That was in the summer of 2001.

Soon after that, the old guitarist parted the band and it was left the three of us. We tried the old three piece game, but it wasn't really working out. Drew was the next guy to be brought in, and thats when The Detrimentals started to form. We ditched all the old Mean of Production songs and started fresh.

One or two shows later, we decided it was time to add a second guitar. Tomas was going to Ireland that summer (2002), so we were going to pick him up, teach him the stuff before he left, and then we'd be ready to go when Tomas got back. I grabbed Joel cause I knew him from school. He plays a mean guitar and and crank out harmonies in both the male and female vocal range.

When Tomas finally got back 5 months later we started to buckle down. So this was October 2002. And since then, not much has changed.
