"Dustin is just Dustin, there is really no way that I could honestly write a respectable description about him that I would be completely proud of. Dustin's music is just Dustin's music. It is a mix of samples altering and repeating, but it again isn't. It leaves you with much more of a feeling then that. Each song creates a different unique mood, and tells a story. A story without lyrics is not an easy story to write. Dustin does a good job of this, the songs gradually start off and take you through them at a steady pace. They get serious and sometimes even silly, each one hits a different part of your mind, not exactly just a hit but a feeling of soothing. It seems as a new adventure is always right around the corner (or just always in about 30 seconds) of his music, and it usually is."

Why this name?
My cousin Travis suggested I use just my last name because people would ask me what it meant because it's so uncommon.
Do you play live?
I've played at the Station, in Portland ME, and I liked it. The Big Easy was something else.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In the past I've felt that a lot is lost and it's harder for musicians to connect with fans with filenames rather than albums and singles you can hold and read, but recently with distributing my music however, I've noticed that I get a heavy percentage of the sale of my songs. So I see how it's benefiting other artists out there. I've been kind of scared of the change for a few years but I'm starting to warm up to it, I think the industry is right in the middle of a huge directional change, and it's kinda cool to be a part of that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's very low on my priorities. The industry shift is already showing me benefits. If you've worked hard enough to make really amazing music and don't sell yourself short you WILL make it over time. You really have to love what you're doing too, because if you're making this a career, it's work. I might consider a record deal, but it's not really a goal. It does have it's pros as well as it's cons. Things would be a lot easier with a cash advance, but I have people who love me. A lot of people.
Band History:
Beyette was born when a music-making addiction took over a hopeful future film director's career. After composing 7 instrumental albums, Beyette took on a new rock sound with the live/fully vocalized production, "Change". Beyette is featured on Bullmoose's shelves, worldwide on all the popular music stores, and on the counter of the Brighton Ave 7-Eleven in Portland, Maine, Friday nights.
Beyette has been composing and performing music since January 2000.
In 2008, after 7 albums and many instruments, the album, "Change" started a new era for Beyette. Finally released in 2009, after two genuine release attempts, the new album only has two sequenced layers, everything else is performed on a live instrument. There's a new limitation that has empowered the consistent sound (new to the Beyette style) of the entire album and that is the discipline behind being restricted to instruments that could be played in a 6 piece band. The new sound is that of alternative rock which is a departure from the instrumental explorations of the previous 7 albums.
2008 saw that Beyette has also become a live act. After three rearrangements of the live players, the next show should be a big success.
Current Members:
Dustin Beyette : Vocals, Keyboards & Synths, Electric Bass, Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Beats, Programming, Arranging, Songwriter, Composer

Mat White - As guitarist
Matt Awkward - As keyboardist
