Unit: E is an Alternative Funk Rock and Soul Unit from the DC area featuring well-seasoned musicians. The Unit created their own style of music infused with trace elements of Alternative, Blues, R&B, AcidRock, Go-Go, Jazz, Reggae, World and more.

Unit: E was formed during recording sessions for 'Straight Out the Basement.' Founding members Ken Evinger and George Belton played most of the instruments, with guest appearances by Sean McClay, Rich Russman, and Jeff Hight.

In 2003, Rodney Dunton and Jeff Hight joined the Unit for live performances.
Unit: E has all the elements of a great band - the music is full of passion and raw energy; the lyrics are provocative; the vocals are soulful and sexy; the bass lines are phat; the grooves are infectious.

Unit: E offers a refreshing alternative to the mainstream.
