I am a one man band and the nephew to "the Violent Femmes" Lead singer, Gordon Gano.
I have been playing guitar since I was 7 years old. I learned to play one string at a time before getting lessons.
I knew people like "George Hawk" of "the Dusty Chaps" and a few other bands that he started, I also Knew "Ned Sutton" of the Ned Sutton Band back in the 80's. I also remeber watching Bands like "The Sons Of the Pioneers" and others too.
My Mother is Cynthia Gayneau (gano) who was a backup vocal on one of Gordon's Albums.(Hallowed Ground-Jesus walking on the Water-Female Vocal) My Mother plays Country music and is independently Producing her own CDs. I am going to create a site that features HER music as well.
Why this name?
Its my name, that is all I need
Do you play live?
No, I just like to play MY style of music from the comfort of my home. I have, in the past, recorded music and made Demos before, but I have moved around so much that I lost them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It made it way more available and easier to listen to a song for the "try-before-you-buy" Market.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe, If I had the right material that they wanted.....LOL
