TQ Solis, Jr. a.ka. TQdelSol, is a popular songwriter-musician from Loay, Bohol, Philippines. A product of Ayechemes Musical Institution and songleader/accompanist of the renowned JEDUTHUN ENSMBLE of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary, TQ Solis has definitely made his mark in the field of music as a player, songwriter, musical director, arranger and conductor.
During his stint as a musical director of his alma mater, the IHMS, TQ has consecutively made it as finalists in the prestigious Cebu Popular Music Festival in the early 1980s, besting, in his only second try, the grand prize, with his winning song, "Damgo Man Lang," co-written with another IHMS alum, Antonio Amora, Jr., now an active lawyer in Tagbilaran City.
TQ Solis' music has been played and performed in many different parts of the world by different artists, most notably the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus (UPCC), the Singing Priests of Tagbilaran (SPOT), the PB USA and many others.
To this date TQ Solis continues to write and arrange songs when his time allows him, after having moved on to the medical profession. His most recent hobbies are piano arrangement and music engraving. He is currently based in the suburbs of Tampa Bay, Florida.
TQ's other notable works include: Bulan, Gugma Hain Ka?, Bohol, One Heart, One Mind, What is Love? and Light Up My Life.
