This was a particularly strange combination; Frank McTruck on electronic harp & vocals, Jack D Zastre on psychedelic guitar and vocals, and KC Moran on thrash guitar & vocal... strange indeed. We played sporadically in the early 80's around the Winnipeg underground scene. There is a fair bit of material considering the short time we collaborated. I'll post some stills of our stage show later when we can edit them from video tape!
Why this name?
It was actually during a jam. McTruck started to introduce the band in a concert hall voice and used the name Mayhem! If you knew us you would understand. You have to hear the songs that evolved out of that intro to see that the name fits perfectly!
Do you play live?
Live for us, for years, has been house, apartment and basement jams - usually during the long winter months. They are the best 'cause you can let loose and be totally creative.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I wouldn't be here talkin' to you right now!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Still sign? Are you crazy - if people enjoy our music we won't need record companies!
