SoundClick artist: Lew Jay - page with MP3 music downloads

I started off in a group (as most do) but left to do my own thing and make it on my own. I currently dont have much to record with, but I use what I have and make it somehow. If I dont make it as a rap artist i will probably be a lyricist and write songs, which I love doing. I'm still swapping and changing my first album and still writing/perfecting the songs to go on it. Thank you.

Why this name?

Its based on my name.

Do you play live?

I sometimes freestyle when I'm out and about but nothing special like on stage, maybe someday.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Mp3 is a great format where you can simply carry around 1000's of songs on an iPod. The only downside is that record sales are decreasing due to the increased amount of illegal downloading.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Not sure. I wouldnt let the label manipulate me and change me as an artist or person. Money is not my goal, being real and truthful is my misson statement.

Band History:

Started out writing/rapping in December 2005 and up to now, used to write stupid things (as you do when you first start) but eventually I have gained maturity and now write real rhymes with meaning, in the future maybe i'll move on from that.

Your influences?

Eminem, he tells the truth and isnt afraid of what people think of him, but recently I think he fell off.

Favorite spot?

Leeds. My hometown (UK). But I would probably travel around the world, when I get older.

Equipment used:

Microphone, pen, paper, PC, Audacity and Sony Acid Pro 6. Thats all for the moment.
