RUStaman is the new name and the new, fresh beginning of the old young Lil' Drizzy. A lot has changed in my style (to better, I add), production and writing, and my past as Lil' Drizzy is too big to be erased, so I'm keeping it, but I'm doing my NEW thing with a NEW image.

For those who have no idea about me, I'll say shortly. . .

Name: Andre Kolesov
Age: 16
Birth date: 13/08/91 (Heh, I love it when my b-day falls on Friday 13 :/. . motherf***in'...)
From: Dubna, Russia (Moscow region)
Location: Montreal (SnowDon, C-D-N), Southshore (LongZone, St-B)
Occupation: Last year of high school.
Zones of art I cover:

Music

Hip-Hop: rapping and production, Electronica: production, Reggae: singin' and production, Rock: 'singing'/production.

Drawing

Graffiti, comics, and uh-h-h. . . Lots of other different shit, pretty much everything that goes in the drawing category.

That's pretty much it, the introduction. Other sites of mine:
www.myspace.com/lepartirap
www.myspace.com/rustaman514
Why this name?
Reasons. . .

1. I'm Russian.
2. Rasta culture.

I got the nick of 'Rasta' when I came back to Russia this summer, because I was all up on the roots reggae music (still am) and green stuff.

Now, I totally am accro to the reggae & Rasta culture... Shit, all I lack is them dreadlocks.

Russian Rastaman was it. . . Rustaman just sums it all perfectly. =)
Do you play live?
Haven't had a chance to play live now. . . Or more like, I don't think I'm experienced enough to go on stage, playing live in front of unknown people. Freestyles and lyrics with my guys and gals - obviously, but nothing such as going on stage or rocking the MC spot in the club.

But uh... I got the show at the end o' my school year comin' up with my patna Inonime from Le Parti Rap and might perform other stuff in MTL.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Meh. It spreads the music wor-r-r-rldwide and gives great promotion to artists.

Also, if it wasn't for the net, I, most likely, wouldn't be making music like now. Programs, writing tips, listening to other music and learning... Well, you know.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. Everything that can bring me up on a better level. Though, AS LONG AS I GET TO KEEP WHAT I'M DOING. I don't want to be a commercial doll for labels to make money on, by using my talent (if there's any, you decide) for meaningless, bullshit music.

If it's all good - then count me in.
Band History:
Too long to write it all here now. I'm just -too lazy-, plus, I doubt you're going to be reading it. There's nothing interesting but dates and personal experiences.
Your influences?
Russian rock | hip-hop | reggae, French hip-hop, American hip-hop, Jamaican and Cuban roots reggae.

Listing some artist that really caught my ear since I started listening to music.

Culture, Jah Division, Black Uhuru (last three being roots reggae), Kapa, NTL, 1 Kla$ (last three being Russian rap) Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, 2Pac and Outlawz, Woodie, Booba, MC Eiht, DMX, Viktor Tsoy & Kino, Alisa, Splin (last three being Russian rock).

Many more though. These are just the main ones.
Favorite spot?
My hometown, Dubna, obviously. That's where I was born and that's where my best and oldest live. It's like my own little heaven.

Then, there's the big Montreal. I just love MTL in night time, looks beautiful. . . Big city, Canada.

Finally, Nijni Novgorod in Russia. Big city in Russia. Lived there for 3 years. Even if it had some f***ed up ghettos and some strange people here and there, I still love it.
Equipment used:
Mic, Synthesizer, Cubase, FL Studio, Acoustica Mixcraft. . .
Anything else...?
