Joe Mullarkey is an independent musician who's songs range from Fast tempo rock to tear jerking ballad. Well, he's not really trying to produce tears, but he writes what he feels from happy to heartbreak. He plays live in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, and has developed quite a following. Why this name?
Many people think that I came up with my last name. I didn't,though, It is my father's last name. In fact, my parents are solely responsible for naming my band.
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live. It's usually just me and an acoustic guitar. Although I occasionally bring an electric Yamaha p90 stage piano with me. I enjoy playing live when I'm at a place that appreciates live music. Sometimes in this business you can't always book attentive venues.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it more accessible to everyone, both listener and musician. This site is a testament to that
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd have to see the contract and Voir dire the label. That's a joke by the way. For some reason, I think injecting French phrases into serious discussions is funny.

Alvarez or Taylor acoustic guitars live. I have a couple of Yamaha electric pianos. Telecaster, Takamine Nylon string guitar, Fender 12 string.
