Myrna M. Ligan, who hails from Cortes, Bohol, Philippines, is a versatile concert pianist who despite her classical training can fuse her love for jazz with classial music. Myrna holds Bachelor's Music Degree majoring in Piano Performance and Music Education; a post graduate scholar of New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts. She was tutored in Studio Instruction by Jacob Maxin from the Faculty of Julliard.
Myrna made her debut at the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall (NYC) in 1993 followed by another in 1995. She had command performances in Australia, Italy, Mexico, Yugoslavia, Philippines, Canada as well as other cities in the United States. Her most recent one was the applause winning performance for the international Ambassadors at the Qatar Academy on behalf of the Philippine Embassy.
Myrna M. Ligan is a recipient of the Gintong Pamana and Centennial Citation Awards in Perorming Arts (Philippines).
