I am from a school of music that included the LINN DRUM pseudo drum. SP_808, MPC 60, SP 1200 through my neighbor who was a producer. He showed me how to sample, chop, and re-arrange a sample. I taught him how to play the piano. I first worked on a MPC 200 when i was 18 and it was over. All the features and 8 outs filters, section solos etc. i was in heaven.
I have elevated my style to incorporate the digging, and refining of samples, plus....composition of live instruments and crazy synths like the juno 60, and the mini-moog. I have been in love with analog sound since first hearing Bob James and Nautilus. In the words of El-P, " I keep it DUSTY but DIGITAL."
